STATEMENT BY MU EAST REGARDING GLOBAL COMMERCIAL REVENUE AND PAYMENT VERIFICATION

MU East wishes to clarify its understanding of the commercial and financial framework established under the Hemisphere Agreement governing the Miss Universe International Pageant.

Under that Agreement, JKN Universe LLC is entitled to generate and collect specified categories of global income connected with the International Pageant and globally related events, including applicable global broadcast and retransmission fees, global sponsorship arrangements and global digital monetization.

These rights remain subject to the separate commercial rights and entitlements granted to the Party in Turn, as well as the territorial rights of MU East and MU West. The proper classification and recipient of any payment must therefore be determined by reference to the applicable agreement, the nature of the licensed rights and the required corporate authorizations.

Broadcasters, sponsors, agencies and commercial partners are encouraged to verify all payment instructions against their executed contracts and properly authorized corporate documentation before transferring funds.

MU East’s position is that payment instructions concerning JKN Universe LLC should comply with the joint financial-control and authorization procedures established under the Hemisphere Agreement. No change in banking instructions should be relied upon solely on the authority of one Party or one individual unless supported by the required written corporate approvals.

Requests for verification may be directed to the duly authorized representatives of JKN Universe LLC and both shareholder groups.
