Born January 25th 1993 in Lille (France), Iris Mittenaere attended Lille University, studying dentistry when she entered the Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais regional pageant, which she won on September 26, 2015.

On December 19th 2015 she was crowned Miss France.

After her reigning year at the Miss France Organization, Iris Mitteneare competed in Miss Universe 2016. She was the only European delegate to progress to the semi-finals of the competition, later going on to win the coveted title. Mittenaere became only the second French to win the crown after Christiane Martel won in 1953.

In her capacity as Miss Universe, Iris travelled the world (she made worth of 10 around the world travels counting 373 600 kilometers).

She promoted oral hygiene and launched an awareness campaign on oral health targeting young school children. As a charity ambassador for NYC-based Smile Train.

Beyond the beauty pageant titles, Iris is modeling around the world and she one of the most famous European influencer.

Meanwhile, she signed a book deal with HarperCollins to release her first book « Toujours y croire » (« Always believe »), in which she shares the great milestones of the past years, her dreams and beauty advices.

Iris Mittenaere is the epitome of modern and independant woman. Since the summer of 2018 she became one of the new faces of TF1 (France most popular domestic network), co-hosting the program « Ninja Warrior ». That year, she also competed in the ninth season of the French edition of « Dancing With The Stars » (where she placed second during the season’s finale).

In February 2019, Jean-Paul Gaultier invited Iris as a guest-star of his extravaganza « Fashion Freak Show » at the Folies-Bergères, for 7 sold out shows.

Iris naturally followed that stage experience with an exciting new adventure, starring as ‘meneuse de revue’. Kamel Ouali directed a brand new show, « L’Oiseau Paradis », for the grand reopening of the oldest Parisian cabaret Le Paradis Latin. Iris took the exciting challenge of the stage by singing live, dancing and leading a pack of 30 artists 6 days a week. Yes : she can-can do everything !

After a year healining the revue, Iris started in September 2020 a gig at Chérie FM radio station, where she host a daily show.

In 2021, she become the ambassador of World Vision France to help children over the world, and especially young girls. She’s currently working on the organization of a trip to Salvador to meet her first goddaughter.
