Miss USA Takes Flight with SE4K

Miss USA Kára McCullough is paving the way for young girls interested in science. With a degree in Chemistry from South Carolina State University, Kára earned her title as a scientist for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Her studies and career began an initiative aimed towards students interested in STEAM, Science Exploration for Kids (SE4K).

As Miss USA, Kára led numerous SE4K school tours throughout the Greater New York area and will now be bringing her non-profit organization to her represented state, District of Columbia.

Science Exploration for Kids (SE4K) is an organization dedicated to promoting science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) enrichment for students.

Kára’s platform provides students with the opportunity to engage in science learning activities focused on teamwork, self-confidence, and career development.

“Through engaging, hands-on activities, SE4K allows students to expand their interests and build confidence through learning. I am proud of how this program has evolved and look forward to working with these aspirational students during our exciting new workshop.” – SE4K Founder, Miss USA Kára McCullough
