Highlights of Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff’s First Week in NYC as Miss Teen USA
Miss Teen USA Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff flew straight to the Big Apple after she was crowned in Phoenix, Arizona. She stayed at Miss USA and Miss Universe’s apartment for the week as she kicked off her reign.

Good Morning America and Fox & Friends
Sophia was up bright and early for a live interview with Good Morning America and Fox & Friends. She was able to speak to a national audience about her plans to continue her advocacy work to improve the lives of adults with developmental disabilities and Down syndrome.
Sophia had an official fitting with MUO stylist Marquis Bias for her week in NYC and her first official photo shoot. She was able to try on outfits and gowns in the Miss Universe office that she thought would represent her personality well.
One World Observatory
Sophia was able to see amazing views from the top of the One World Observatory.
City Sightseeing New York Tour
It was a perfect day for a boat ride and Sophia was well on board at the City Sightseeing New York Tour where she was able to get a front row view of The Statue of Liberty, The Brooklyn Bridge, and the city skyline.
Pit stop! Sophia was able to enjoy a special dessert at the Sugar Factory: The Girl Scout Donut. What makes it so special? Sophia was awarded the Gold Award, the highest achievement within Girl Scouts of the USA. This award was given in recognition of her efforts to work alongside Missouri state legislators to create policies that provided people with disabilities with the best quality care.
