MEET DENISE

Denise Speelman studied marketing and communication and created her own fashion styling company. After recovering from an eating disorder five years ago, she found herself again, and wanted to help prevent others from going through what she went through.

She empowers others by encouraging them to wear what makes them feel confident, no matter their size and appearance. Denise fights the "perfect image" of social media by spreading her message as a volunteer at the Rintveld clinic, one of the biggest eating disorder clinics in the Netherlands.

Along with advocating for body positivity, she also works for Hulphond Nederland, an organization that trains dogs to assist people with several physical and mental problems, like PTSD and epilepsy.
