Nayelhi González was born in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, a wonderful land full of tradition and history. She is the firstborn in a household that welcomed her with love and joy. As she grew up, so too did her passion and talent for singing. Her and her grandmother enjoyed singing all types of songs. Thanks to her family, she became an enthusiast for painting and developed a love for animals and sports.

Her sense of empathy and humanism define her, and inspired her to become a licensed nurse. She believes nurses are angels with earthly caps who count on the blessing of contact with patients, become a friend and confident to them.

González learned how to get up and fight for her objectives with the guidance of her great faith in God. She was called to the modeling world where she shined in the main cities of Ecuador.

She does social work year-round, with a special focus on the young children of the Esmeraldas province with her own project called Diamond Youth, in collaboration with the Germinar Foundation. As the title holder of Miss Ecuador, she aims to lift the morale and self-love of afro descendent women and to be a model of the history, culture, tradition, and identity of a woman from a working town.
