MEET CAMEROON

Michèle-Ange Minkata is a 25-year-old creative advocate and entrepreneur and has a degree in geography. She is fluent in both English and French and is currently working in public relations and communications.

She is also very passionate about arts and music, and loves spending most of her free time in a dance or recording studio, singing and playing musical instruments. She loves traveling, exploring and discovering new places.

Michèle-Ange worked closely with the Smile Train organization in Cameroon to spread awareness about children born with cleft palate and also with the Roger Milla foundation to spread awareness and raise funds for children suffering from sickle cell anaemia.

Michèle-Ange is a fervent advocate for women’s empowerment because she herself was supported by a close friend when she was constantly bullied for being a tomboy. This is why she recently launched an academy called Angels & Queens which empowers young girls to tap into their inner potential. She intends to continue her studies and pursue a career in diplomacy.

FUN FACTS

• I started school at a very young age and I was always the youngest in my class.

• I was a tomboy all through my teenage years.

• I record songs during my free time and I am a self-taught guitar player.
