I was born and raised in Nantucket, an island 30 miles off Cape Cod Massachusetts. There is not a single traffic light in Nantucket. Interestlingly, it is typically 10 degrees warmer than the main land during winter and 10 degrees cooler in the summer due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream.
I am of mixed ethnicity. My father is from Sierra Leone and is half Lebanese. My mother is of Portuguese, English and Irish descent.
I grew up singing at local church plays alongside singer/song writer Meghan Trainor, who also happens to be from Nantucket!
