Andreia is a speaker, writer, and philanthropist. She considers philanthropy being the core of who she is due to being an immigrant from Cape Verde and being born into poverty. Andreia immigrated to the United States at the age of 7 and faced many challenges living in an inner city and not speaking English.
Through her initiative, "More Than Enough," she serves as an advocate for inner city and underprivileged kids by instilling confidence and empowering them to live life to their full potential despite their circumstances.
Andreia is a graduate of St. Johns University with a degree in public relations. She was named Phoenix Magazine's 30 under 30 for philanthropy and speaks four languages, which has been a beneficial asset since shes an avid traveler.
I speak four languages. Cape Verdean Creole is my first language, followed by Portuguese, Spanish, and English. This has given me the ability to connect with so many different types of people, not only in New York, but also while I have traveled.
I have piloted a PA-28-161 aircraft from Connecticut to New York. It was an exhilarating experience and I am definitely considering getting more flight hours logged.
Writing is such a release for me. I keep a journal that I use not only to jot down my daily thoughts and self-reflect, but also as a way to combat anxiety and stress.
