BIO

Jeannie Mai is best known as the host of The Style Network’s two-time Emmy nominated television program “How Do I Look?” More than just a fashion-intervention show, Jeannie empowers women to discover their true beauty, overcome their insecurities, and employ fashion to give them the confidence they need to help achieve their career goals. She was recently seen as the digital correspondent for the hit NBC show “Fashion Star,” connecting viewers to the mentors, contestants and stylists through the web. After commentating at the 2011 Miss Universe pageant in Brazil, she was named as the on-camera fashion expert tasked with contestant makeovers on NBC’s hit franchise “Biggest Loser” which opened the door to her hosting the 2012 Golden Globe Awards NBC pre-show live on the red carpet and returning to commentate at the 2012 Miss USA pageant. US Weekly magazine and Jeannie teamed up during the 2012 Emmy Awards this year and she streamed live from the red carpet to chat it up with celebrities about all things fashion. Jeannie is a style expert for Perez Hilton’s hit fashion website, CocoPerez.com, which brings in over 9 million unique visitors per month and can also be seen as the go-to fashion expert addressing topics such as “4 style websites that will change the way you shop” and “ ‘Pin-spiration’: Fourth of July food and style” on the “Today Show.” She also appears frequently as a fashion correspondent and contributor on "The Ricki Lake Show," "Wendy Williams," “E! News,” and CBS’ “The Doctors.” This past December, Jeannie returned to commentate during the 2012 Miss Universe pageant live from Las Vegas and has recently been a weekly Fashion Contributor on OMG Insider throughout this awards season. Not only known for her style expertise in America, her fashion savvy reaches internationally with her guest appearances on "Asia's Next Top Model."

Jeannie has appeared as a popular host for several other networks including E!, NBC, MTV, TLC, and Lifetime and has also hosted a wide variety of other specials at Style Network including “Dude, Where’s your Style?,” “Go Fix Yourself,” and “Lucky Shops” in conjunction with Lucky Magazine. Outside of her television career, Jeannie has had endorsement deals with companies including Avon, David’s Bridal, The Limited, Microsoft, Ford and Yoplait.

Of Vietnamese and Chinese descent, Jeannie strives to give back to her homeland by frequently traveling to Asia to volunteer her time with inspiring organizations dedicated to helping those who are less fortunate. While abroad she works with Heartbeat Vietnam, a non-profit devoted to improving health care for impoverished children and NightLight International, an organization committed to rescuing women and children from sex trafficking and prostitution rings by providing employment and vocational opportunities.
