Michael Agbabian is co-owner and co-president of Mission Control Media, an innovative and rapidly growing entertainment company specializing in non-scripted television. Along with business partner Dwight D. Smith, Agbabian has produced a variety of television series for a wide array of television networks. Mission Control Media is the producer of Syfy’s smash hit “Face Off,” a creative competition series set in the world of special effects makeup. Now in its third season, “Face Off” is the highest rated non-scripted series in the network’s history. Under their Mission Control banner, Agbabian and Smith produced the innovative cooking docu-series “Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen,” the comedy game show “Late Night Liars” with the Jim Henson Company for GSN, and epic competitive video game series “WCG Ultimate Gamer” in association with electronics giant Samsung and ITV Studios.
Before starting their company in 2008, Agbabian and Smith have produced for NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, Oxygen, Bravo, MTV, Lifetime, and national syndication. Agbabian is a Los Angeles native having attended the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. He is of Armenian descent and is active in Armenian centric charities and causes.
