My First Fashion Shoot and Charity Events

Second week in the life...I had my remarkable Fadil Berisha fashion photo shoot this week and two red carpet benefit dinners! All three were fabulous. The first red carpet event was called "Hot Pink Party" and the proceeds benefitted breast cancer clinical and translational research. One of the great aspects of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is that 85 cents of every dollar goes directly towards supporting over 63 dedicated researchers around the world to find a cure to eliminate this disease that effects over 200,000 people in the USA alone. Aside from this, I was able to meet Elizabeth Hurley, Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and watch the incomparable Liza Minelli and Elton John perform! It was quite the star-studded evening!
On Thursday, my red carpet event was called "A Caring Hand", which benefitted a bereavement center in NYC that aids children in dealing with the loss of a parent. It originated as a place for children of 911 victims and eventually expanded as the organization maximized on their success in providing a support network for children and teens. It truly is fantastic to be part of such dynamic charitable organizations, especially since I will be volunteering at the bereavement center here in NYC.
I am loving my new roommates! Dayana has been busy traveling the globe since I moved in and Stevi and I have hit it off! I even went to watch her give a presentation to DARE graduates the other night and she was wonderful! The children were so ecstatic to see her, they were nearly shaking!
Friday, I traveled to DC to speak at the Pentagon, it was amazing, but details to come in another blog!
Stay tuned for photos and videos of my year!
