North Carolina Azalea Festival

What a fabulous week I had in the best part of the South, experiencing the charm and hospitality of the North Carolina Azalea Festival! It was such a beautiful week with absolutely perfect weather. I got to see a lot of my friends and people who have been so supportive of me through my journey, and every event we went to was super lovely. I was at the Azalea Festival as a Celebrity Guest and it felt so good to be back in my hometown and to be a part of this major festival in a different capacity this time. We got to see the Goo Goo Dolls and Montgomery Gentry in concert and it was a blast! Both concerts were very engaging and I was dancing pretty much the entire time. Every single day was jam-packed with events starting at 7 in the morning and ending at 11:30 at night. We didn't get a lot of sleep or rest, but it was so worth it. I was reminded why I love Wilmington, N.C. so much, and that I would love to raise a family there one day. The last day I didn't have to work so I was able to spend some time with my family. My sisters came in from out of town so we could all be together and we went walking at the beach and made cookies! I miss them so much.
Now I am back in the Big Apple getting ready for a busy month and starting to pack up all of my stuff in boxes :-( It’s making me sad…
I hope all of you had as spectacular a week as I did!!
