Kamie visits The Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health Science Academy at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Kamie meets with some of the high school students who attend the academy, where she learns to design, incubate and replicate neighborhood-based health interventions.
A student shows Kamie a typical day at the academy. Students receive hands-on training with life saving equipment.
Kamie thanks Dr. Mary Valmont for a great visit to the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health. The Institute focuses on addressing health conditions that disproportionately affect minorities. For more information please visit, www.arthurasheinstitute.org.
