    Miss Universe visits wounded soldiers and HIV patients

    TheStandard.com.ph – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach brought cheers to wounded soldiers at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center (AFPMC) and HIV patients at V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City during a Charity Day visit on Jan.27.


    Accompanied by Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) chairman Stella Marquez Araneta, Wurtzbach shook hands and talked with some 40 soldiers recuperating at Heroes Ward 3A. She offered words of inspiration, asked about their condition and thanked them on their sacrifices to defend the country. Some of the soldiers were so excited and even felt nervous to see in person the Filipina Miss Universe while Wurtzbach seemed to enjoy hearing about their stories. Read the complete article here.

    Miss Universe dabbed with Panthers players at Super Bowl Opening Night

    Miss Universe Joins Inside Edition as Special Super Bowl Correspondent

    New York, NY — January 25, 2016 — Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach joins INSIDE EDITION as a Special Correspondent for Super Bowl 50: the Carolina Panthers vs. the Denver Broncos on CBS.

    “Pia is a natural fit as INSIDE EDITION’s Super Bowl Correspondent. She has the on-air poise that we look for in our talent, and as reigning Miss Universe, she’s no stranger to a thrilling competition,” says Executive Producer Charles Lachman.


    Wurtzbach, who won Miss Universe 2015 representing the Philippines at the pageant, will be reporting from Santa Clara, Calif. alongside INSIDE EDITION Correspondent Megan Alexander to cover all Super Bowl happenings, including exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes previews, and full game coverage.

    “I’m so looking forward to covering Super Bowl 50 for INSIDE EDITION as their Special Correspondent. This will be my first time experiencing the biggest night in American sports, and I’m excited to take viewers behind-the-scenes in the lead up to the big event,” says Wurtzbach.

    Wurtzbach will begin her Special Correspondent duties on Monday, February 1 at Super Bowl 50’s Media Day and continue reporting through game day on Sunday, February 7.
