Mariah Gosling recently graduated Valedictorian from Kalani High School while also studying part time at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. She found her passion for medicine while being involved in the Health Academy for two years in high school. She started volunteering at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, and then interned with a Physician's Assistant at Straub Clinic and Hospital. She was also given the opportunity to follow an orthopedic surgeon into the operating room! As a certified CPR instructor, Mariah has teamed up over the past two years with the Hawaii Heart Foundation and AED Institute empowering youth with life saving CPR skills.
Mariah has been running competitively for 10 years and has participated in two Olympic size triathlons, with the goal of completing an Iron Man one day.
Honored with the Chancellors scholarship from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa she will study Biology Premed to pursue her dream of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
