Alexa Brielle Jones is a freshman at California State University San Marcos, where she is pursuing a degree in communications. She is a fifth-generation resident of Ramona, a small, country town in the northeast hills of San Diego County. Alexa has participated in competitive cheerleading since she was 8-years-old and was a captain and four-year member of the varsity cheer team at Ramona High School. She also participated in dance productions and powder-puff football games. She is an honors graduate and has been recognized for her leadership with several scholarships and awards.
Alexa enjoys gymnastics, dance, tumbling, hiking, reading, shopping and exercising. Alexa is also passionate about giving back to the community. She is proud to have received the President's Volunteer Service award for her time spent working with organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Children's Hospital and Susan G. Komen.
Alexa recently lost her father in a car accident involving a drunk driver. She is working through that tragedy with strength and perseverance, and she hopes her experiences will allow her to serve as a powerful role model.
