Q: What is the craziest thing you have ever done (the more detail, the better)?
A: The craziest thing that I have ever done is to decide an hour before my friends departed to go with them to Disneyland. It was my dance captains' last few days before he shipped out to Oklahoma to continue his Second Lieutenant training. It was very last minute and we all played everything by ear. Nonetheless, It was a very fun and very memorable trip.
Q: Do you cook and/or bake anything? If so, what are your special dishes?
A: Yes, I do love to both cook and bake. When it comes to cooking, Italian, Nigerian, And Japanese cuisine are my favorite. I enjoy preparing lasagna, stuffed shells, linguine, Eba, Gari, and Egusin Soup- all three Nigerian food stables. Cake, brownies, and cupcakes are among my specialties always trying something new each and every time.
Q: If you were handed 10 million dollars, what would you splurge on?
A: If I were handed 10 million dollars, I would first take my tithes out and divide the remaining ninety percent into three parts- spending, saving, and investment. My mom has always made it known that a Rolls Royce is her all-time favorite car, so I would purchase the newest Phantom Rolls Royce. I would then take my entire family on an all expense paid vacation anywhere they desired. I would of course shop till I dropped and ask all that could to accompany me. Finally, I would place whatever remains in the scholarship fund that my family started in honor of my father which aids many overseas students in their studies.
Q: If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be and why?
A: If I could meet one celebrity, it would be Galen Hooks. Galen is a very well known dancer/choreographer that has been working in the entertainment industry since she was 13. She has danced behind every single artist that I hope to dance for. Furthermore, Galen is a very well known print model for major apparel brands such as Nike. She just recently was nationally recognized for receiving her Law degree from Penn State, while being on tour or on the road with various artists. She is one of a few to do so. I admire Galen for pursuing her dreams from a young age, but never neglecting the reality of the dance industry as an always changing and unpredictable occupation. Her diligence to complete school and receive a degree is a constant reminder that one truly can have it all, with hard work and perseverance.
Q: What is unique about you (something no other contestant can say about themselves)?
A: One thing that is very unique about me is that I have over 75 names. In Nigerian Culture, when a child is born, the child will have a naming ceremony. Everyone that attends the ceremony will give the child a name. Those who couldn't attend will either call or mail the name that they have given the child. I come from a large family which includes eleven grandmas and over 40 uncles and aunts. The overwhelming part about having so many names is that usually whatever name a family member gave you is the name that they will call you. Therefore, it can be much to keep track of, but a fun discovery nonetheless.
