My Last Trip as Miss Universe

Sadly, I had my last International trip as Miss Universe to Romania this week, and it couldn't have been better. It was the perfect place to close out this opportunity of a life-time. I was so excited about the language because I understood some of the things people were saying. Romanian has the same Latin roots and I figure it would be easy to learn but I had no idea how easy it was to understand! We went to the Miss Universe Romania pageant and I got to be a judge. I can totally say I was very impressed with the show, the music was amazing, the girls were all beautiful and they all did a great job. I visited different TV shows and in one of them I got to wear one of the typical dresses of the country and dance to the typical music, it was a lot of fun. I felt almost like a Romanian! I’m very happy with the opportunity I had to go to such an interesting country, and if I cross my fingers very, very tight, I might come back very soon :)!!!!

Dayana is sad that your reign is coming to an end but your should feel glad that because of it you have reached out and made everyone who has met you much happier. You have influenced many to look at life differently from now on. I've just read what Miss USA Kristin had to say about you and I think is so beautiful you have had this effect on her and that she recognizes it as such. All the best!!!

Ohh Dayana, que pena que Rumania sea tu ultimo viaje Internacional como Miss Universo 2009, que Chimbo vale :( T_T .. Yo pense que ibas a seguir viajando hasta incorporarte a las acividades del Miss Universo 2009, pero bueno igual nos dejastes muy en alto a los Venezolanos y sea muy dificil encontar a una persona tan solicitada como tu este año.
Yo vi todos tus videos en Rumania (Y hasta la eleccion del Miss Rumania Universo 2009 por internet) y me asombrado con tu presencia en un pais de poca tradicion de Miseses.

I can't believe this lady actually won..She is pretty tho but not to be a Miss Universe Queen. It seems that Venezuela pays Donald Trump to select their gals...
I just don't get it, the ugliest and the one who has more Surgeries in the whole pageant; won....How can they choose the females from Venezuela if they all fake???....Make no sense!! It's sad because the real beauty that other females have in other countries has it's affected because of Venezuela's fake ladies..If we will have a pageant called Miss Surgery, I am 100 percent sure Venezuela will won all titles. And their Venezuelan surgeons will be the second runner up!!!

Verush, I agree with you. The Venezuela Organization is a tremendous powerhouse.You guys are just like Puerto Rico. We train our girls in all aspects. Some have been models, but if not they give them the training necessary, yes we do alter our girls but not to the point were they are not recognizable. We take care of all the aspects of the competition and we take it seriously. We take into consideration wardrobe, make up and anything else that comes attached to that sash that has our country's name on it. Don't listen to all the hate and haters. Perhaps if they payed attention to their contestants they may have more beauty titles attached to their country.

Dayana, since you last wrote on your blog about your experience in Romania we haven't heard from you. We know you have been packing because it was mentioned by Miss Teen USA in her blog. I know it must be a very trying time since you are preparing yourself, both physically and emotionally, for your final walk as Miss Universe. We miss you already, specially since we were used to your updates. Please continue writing on your blog until the very last moment of your reign.
