Miss Universe's Skin Care Expert Tip of the Week

At a recent television appearance I made on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, viewers called in with their questions on skin care. Since summer is finally here, I thought I’d share with you a viewer’s question on summer’s most important beauty tool—sunscreen. 

Q) Is sunscreen best worn under or over make up?
A) My tip of the week: Wear sunscreen under make up for both maximum protection against sun exposure as well as longer lasting make up wear. Sunscreen forms a barrier between your skin and the UV rays of the sun, which is helpful in preventing the effects of skin damage such as skin cancer and premature aging. Try make up with added sunscreen as an extra bonus, as many brands now offer products with SPF 15 or greater. This is a great way to go during the week when a busy schedule forces you to skip a step!

  My Daughter and I have always hosted a Miss USA party with several of her friends and watch the pageant. But that will not happen ever again!! Not that I am against gay marriage, but I think that Carrie should have the right to her opinion without losing her title. I do not want my Daughter or her friends to think that they have to say what is politically correct instead of what is in their hearts just to be accepted. This is not the message that I want them to get from this pageant. We will never watch it again.
