My Trip to Atlantis
posted by Stevi Perry at 08:56am on 05/18/2009
Hey Guys,
Well this week was a lot of fun! This past Wednesday, the girls and I went on our first event together since Kristen was crowned. We went to a Latino Aids/HIV benefit gala. We had loads of fun. Dayana and Wilmer Valderrama from ‘That 70’s Show’ were the hosts. They did an absolutely amazing job! After the presentation and dinner, we danced all night. Wilmer was hilarious and I think he really enjoyed dancing with all of us, haha! Also, this week I traveled to the Bahamas. =) I love love love love going back to Atlantis and it was terrific spending the weekend hanging out with everyone. My travel manager Andrea and I flew out there on Thursday and spent the weekend. Thursday, we got there and had a pretty relaxed day. We went to dinner at this real nice restaurant at the Ocean Club Resort. All of the major celebrities stay at this private resort so it was real nice getting to experience that and its amazing restaurant. The ocean front made the perfect view from our room, and we made a reservation to see the sunset. The food was perfect as well. On Friday, we got down to business. The MUO and Atlantis came up with this great idea to hold the first ever Miss Teen Fantasy Camp in the Bahamas. The camp will be held July 27-Aug 1 during the week of the Miss Teen USA pageant. I will be the host of the camp so I had to do a voice over and film a little coverage and b-roll to advertise it. I overlooked the pageant camp schedule and it was remarkable. If I was a 12-17 year old girl I would definitely be there. Past and present title holders will be teaching the girls several neat things like learning interview skills, runway tricks, hair and make up, and wardrobe selection. I have a feeling the camp will be a big hit. After that we went to the Cain Pool to catch some sun and hang out with the D.J. Saturday, we got ready for the Miley Cyrus concert. During the day we went to Poseidon’s Throne at Atlantis and posed for pictures with the guests. After we posed for pictures, we went and got ready for the meet and greet with Miley Cyrus. She was very nice and so cute. All the girls just loved her!! The concert ended up being great. I would have never gone to a Miley Cyrus concert on my own so being able to experience her show was neat. I thought she performed well and she left with a good message to the younger girls in attendance; “Always follow your dreams and be true to who you are". After the concert we went to Aura and I helped D.J. a little bit. We had so much fun. I didn't want to leave Atlantis the next day. The next time I go back to the Bahamas will be for Miss Teen USA. It will be a very bitter sweet time. Well, I am about to head to the gym. I hope everyone has a great week.
Always,
SP

I am happy you had a great time in the Bahamas. We are always happy to welcome all to our islands in the sun! Hope to see you soon! Try visiting one of the nearby islands on your next trip. It is great! You can take a ferry or fly any way it is still great!

I wish they would televise Miss Teen USA again, even if it's on a cable network like Bravo.
