Russia, Colombia and Puerto Rico... oh my!

Hi everyone! I had been really busy this week, I was in Russia attending Miss Russia pageant and meeting with the organizers of the event. I came back to New York for 15 hours changed my suitcase and flew for a conference in Cartagena, Colombia. After an amazing experience experience in South America, I came back to New York, had dinner and off again!!!! This time to Puerto Rico, for the Puerto Rico Open, just did my press conference and I´m enjoying every single minute!!! I just came back from Puerto Rico and have found that there is controversy about an interview I did in Colombia. I was asked about President Chavez and said he was a controversial figure. The press in Colombia changed around my words and said things I did not say. I did not mean to insult my country or the president. I think all presidents are controversial because it is not easy to make decisions and not all the people will always agree with their decision. I love my country and meant no disrespect. I leave for another trip to Czech Republic and Panama tomorrow. I am so tired but excited to visit these countries!

Don't pay any attention to what others say, the media will always twist your words around no matter how good you express them. The same happened to Dayana Mendoza last year regarding Guantanamo. Besides, it's not the first time that the Colombian press tries to politize questions with Venezuelan beauty queens, and then they take their answers out of context. Last year a Colombian Radio Show tried a stunt like that with Dayana on a phone interviewed, she was smart enough to cut them off. You are young and this experience will help you in future encounters with the press. If you don't like a question or if it doesn't feel right, just don't answer it, you don't have to explain yourself......you are MISS UNIVERSE!!!!!

La pregunta a mis Venezuela: ?En Muchas partes del mundo existen aun obstaculos que no permiten a las mujeres llegar a cargos altos en coorporacione que puedes hacer tu para cambiar eso???Respuesta Yo creo que hoy en dia ya las mujeres hemos superados bastantes obstaculos y pienso, que ALLA hemos llegado al nivel de los hombres tenemos que darnos cuenta que ya no existen fronteras entre nosotros. ok quiere decir que la muy bruta NO contesto la pregunta so ella compro el certamen

I saw you at the competition - you was very beautiful - much more than I'd imagined:) I saw that you are talking with Sofia Rudeva (Miss Russia 2009) - Do you remember how you and she competed in the Miss Universe, what you think about her?:)
