At the helm of GRB Communications is Gabriel Rivera-Barraza. As the founder and president, Gabriel has an extensive background in marketing and public relations. Prior to breaking out on his own, Gabriel was the vice president and director of public relations for CFDA/Vogue fashion fund nominee 2010 fashion designer, Christian Cota. He was responsible for the company's international marketing objectives, global brand positioning, strategic partnerships and advertising initiatives.
Gabriel has a proven track record of combining editorial press, celebrity dressing, promotions, and events in developing strong fashion identities for brands and non-profit organizations such as Carlos Campos, The Hispanic Society of America Museum, Casita Maria, Aid for AIDS and Project Paz. He collaborates with each client to create concepts and materials to maximize on potential brand awareness and excitement. His commitment to excellence shines through in all his services and projects.
With a degree in Fine Arts from American InterContinental University of Los Angeles, Gabriel is also the chair of the established El Museo del Barrio’s Young International Circle, where he has played an essential role in fundraising activities for this prestigious museum, and for positioning the annual Dia de los Muertos party as one of the most selective events in New York’s social calendar.
Gabriel has been working with the men’s fine jewelry brand, M. de Phocas. The brand creates luxurious cufflinks, tie bars and lapel pins. Most recently, Gabriel has started work with the prestigious Spanish brand, DELPOZO. The fashion house has been a force in Spain for more than 40 years and Gabriel is helping to establish their success stateside.
