Brenda Smith-Lezama resides in Columbia, Missouri, where she is pursuing a degree in journalism at the University of Missouri. She is a member of several campus organizations including Delta Delta Delta Fraternity and the Multicultural Issues Committee of the Missouri Students Association Senate.
After earning her Bachelor’s in Journalism, Brenda hopes to combine her passion for journalism and her love for her country by joining the United States Air Force as a Broadcast Journalism Specialist. She is currently a freelance contributor for Seventeen.com.
In her free time, Brenda enjoys to travel the world. Some of her favorite memories include walking down Tokyo’s “Electric Town,” climbing the Eiffel Tower in Paris, hiking to the peak of Machu Picchu in Peru, and zip lining through the rainforest in Costa Rica.
Brenda also spends a lot of her free time in Mexico City. As a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States, she has grown up appreciating both countries. It is her love for both cultures that had fueled her passion for multicultural issues.
