Kamie Crawford was blessed with the rewarding opportunity to represent the beautiful state of Maryland after being crowned Miss Maryland Teen USA 2010 on November 1st, 2009, her very first time competing on a pageant stage. She took home the Miss Photogenic award that night as well. On July 24, 2010, Kamie represented Maryland in the 2010 Miss Teen USA pageant where she made history by being the first contestant from Maryland to win the title.
Kamie currently lives and works in New York City as a professional model with the first modeling agency for women of all sizes, JAG Models, and as a freelancing on camera host. She has hosted segments on major television networks like NBC Universal, Telemundo, BET and more. Kamie attends Fordham University and is working towards getting her BA in Communications with a concentration in New Media and Television Broadcasting as she hopes to make her mark as a television host very soon. She is still heavily involved in philanthropy, working with various charities and serves as a Global Ambassador for Same Sky, a women's empowerment organization in Rwanda, which provides jobs and promotes personal growth for HIV+ survivors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Kamie continues to spread the message of body positivity to men and women around the globe, and hopes to be the change we need to see in the fashion world.
