MISS UNIVERSE® 2008 MUSICAL PERFORMER

22 year-old performer and songwriter, Lady GaGa, has her musical roots planted firmly in the ground. Having learned piano by ear at the age of 4, Lady GaGa went on to write her first piano ballad at 13 and began performing at open mike nights by the age of 14.

At age 17, she became one of 20 students in the world to get early admission to the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. With a record deal secured by her 20th birthday, and writing songs for other artists (including the Pussycat Dolls) before her own debut album was even released, Lady GaGa's career is truly taking off.

Lady GaGaís most recent album entitled "The Fame" is described as "two parts dance-pop, one part electro-pop, and one part rock with a splash of disco and burlesque."
