Viva Las Vegas!

My schedule in Las Vegas has been absolutely NUTS as I get ready to crown the next Miss USA! Whoa! I am trying to enjoy it and take it all in, but sometimes it seems like a big blur.  It is so exciting to be back here at Planet Hollywood, where I competed last year, with a different group of fun, cool girls. In some ways, I want to be competing again, but I am relieved at the same time. The contestants are under a lot of pressure and super duper busy! Just yesterday, they had a 6 a.m. workout, completed a full day of rehearsals, modeled in a fashion show, and attended a dinner event at Bucca di Beppo! What the heck?! Of course, they still manage to look gorgeous and be happy through it all!

I have to say I am very impressed with this group of contestants because they are so approachable and down-to-earth, which will allow them to form lifelong friendships and great memories. Nice work ladies - keep it up!

  Good job at the Prelims Weds evening! Can you explain why the swimsuit comp wasn't displayed on the video screens in the theatre? The rest of the show was. Thanks!

  I'm in no doubt happy for anyone that can acheive their dreams however may i suggest something why the racy photos? Don't these mothers realize that 16-18 yr. old boys watch this as well. Young men at this age treat those photos as they treat porn. I realize that isn't the intnention but really you all kicked Carry out of the pagent for having racy photos. Why the double standard? I mean really?? That was harshness. Mr. Trump as far as i am concerned is a rich jerk with money to spare. He is no gentleman.And if being a man he has the balls to kick someone out because of fake photos..then why not have a woman back the beauty pagent? This Donald Trump character really has no idea what goes on. I am happy once again for you..but why kick Carry out for " racy pictures" when in fact you allow your contestants to dress like strippers in their photos? I have seen the comments made about Carry behind her back. This is not the American way.
